“Sextet” from Donizetti work ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’, is performed by Sodero’s Band recorded March 26, 1915 in New York. Since 1836, when Sextet first arrived, it has been a beautiful melody that is familiar to many. In fact this music has been a strong component of the operas success. Norma Overture composed by Vincenzo Salvatore Carmelo Francesco Bellini, performed by the Edison Concert Band and recorded August, 1914, in New York. Many consider it Bellini’s best work.

This is a 10 inch, 80 rpm Edison Diamond Disc released in 1915. It is not one of the later white paper label releases that came later.
