Description

This is a VG quality recording released in June 1922 after shortages from World War I issues got back under control.
It  is one of the 1/4 inch thick black carbon Edison Diamond Discs that used clay rather than wood flour in the core.
Like many brands of records in that era it was recorded at 80 rpm. Much simpler to set the speed of the record to 80 rmp rather than the later 78 rpm records (i.e. the record had to turn 20 times in 15 seconds).
NOTE: The Diamond Disc records were designed to be used with the horizontal diaphragm of Edison Phonographs. They should not be played by vertical diaphragm steel needle cartridges as they destroy the disc.
