Mario Lanza “The Great Caruso”
Mario Lanza grew up listening to Caruso at home for years before his performing career began. Performing in the file “The Great Caruso” was a labour of love. These recordings reveal the ease and confidence few tenors, if any, have brought to their performances. A true listening joy. These records are in VG+ condition with hours of enjoyment yet to be completed.
Description
The five records are MINT. They have been sitting in storage for decades.
They were a special collectors edition US mono 45 rpm release in 1953.
The very successful original release was a set of 4×Shellac, 12″, 78 RPM, in album format and in Canada as a long play ( LM-1127 ).
The special remastered collectors 1953 edition used the best vinyl available then, to minimize surface noise and cross thru clicks.
